Hey friends,
So… let’s talk about Easter Sunday.
It didn’t exactly go the way we planned.
We’re so thankful for the long-term folks here at the park—we really are—but yesterday was one of those days where boundaries just weren’t respected. Every time I picked up the paint gun and got into a groove… I got interrupted. Over and over again.
And not for emergencies.
We’re talking questions about RV parts, help with things people could’ve handled themselves… things we’re not even being paid to do. And after a couple of hours of that stop-and-go, I hit a wall.
I was overwhelmed. Frustrated. Yep… a little grumpy.
So I finally looked at Mark and said, “I need out.”
And we left the park so I could reset.
Because sometimes—you just have to step away.
But here’s the good news… progress IS happening 🙌
✔️ The living room is DONE (finally!)
🎯 Next up: bedroom and bathroom
🎨 We’ve already gone through 4 cans of primer—and we’re probably looking at 2 more to finish it all up
And honestly? The fun part is starting to sneak in.
We’ve got décor, trim, and all the pretty finishing pieces coming in… and they’re just sitting there in boxes waiting for their moment. It’s like Christmas… but we’re not allowed to open the presents yet 😂
Moving forward, we’ve got a plan:
➡️ 4–6 hours every Sunday dedicated to the remodel
➡️ Stay consistent
➡️ Keep pushing forward no matter what
We’re aiming for a May 1st finish—and I really do think we can get there.
BUT…
The biggest stress right now? The kitchen countertop.
We have to hire that out, and let me tell you… getting people to call back or even give a quote has been frustrating beyond belief.
And one quote we DID get?
$800 per rocking chair… just for two cushions… and I provide the fabric?!
Yeah… no. That was an easy decision 😅

| Where we got the PLASTIC FROM |
Utah has been a little tough when it comes to finding reliable service work, but honestly—it’s pushing us to learn things ourselves. And that’s been kind of empowering.
We’re growing in ways we didn’t expect.
Because this isn’t just about remodeling an RV…
This is about a dream.
We want to boondock.
We want to save money.
And we want to use that freedom to serve others while we’re on the road.
Not out of vanity—but out of purpose.
To get there, we’ve got some big goals we’re working toward:
✨ Growing Me Gone RVing Adventures on social media
✨ Hitting our investment targets
✨ Building TravelingTownCrier.com to at least 6 solid clients
✨ And finding a strong remote sales role (because seriously—Mark is AMAZING on the phones)
The hardest part right now?
Finding two solid days off each week to focus on OUR goals… so the other five days of workamping can run smoothly.
That balance… it’s not easy.
But one of the best parts of this journey?
The people.
We’re meeting other full-time RVers who are all figuring this life out, just like we are. And there’s something really special about encouraging each other, learning from each other, and just being in it together.
This life isn’t always easy.
But it’s real.
It’s stretching us.
It’s growing us.
And it’s worth it.
Small steps. Big vision. We’re getting there. 💛🚐
