Hills, Laughs, and “Totally Planned” Tree Hits
Every once in a while, even us at ME Gone RVing Adventures need a day off from the campground life…
So we packed up, headed over to The Fort Disc Golf Course at Fort Buenaventura Park in Ogden, Utah, and let’s just say… The Fort at Buenaventura Park, is located at 2550 A Avenue, Ogden, Utah
π We got our steps in
π We got our laughs in
π And we definitely got a few “creative throws” in π (Mark has his set, and Evielynne is getting a set of her own here... https://amzn.to/3QNrkEP
π A LITTLE NIPPY… BUT PERFECT
The weather had that slight chill in the air—you know, just enough to keep you moving.
And thank goodness…
Because those hills?
π They are REAL
But honestly, that’s what made it even better.
No overheating, no excuses—just walking, throwing, and laughing the whole way through.
π₯ THE COURSE VIBE
The Fort Disc Golf Course sits inside Fort Buenaventura Park, and it has this:
π² Old park charm
πΏ Peaceful trails
π Nature-first feel
It’s one of those places where you feel like you’ve stepped away from the city…
even though you’re still right there in Ogden.

π― FOR THE DISC GOLF LOVERS
If you’re into frisbee golf (or thinking about it), this course gives you:
✔ Long throws
✔ Technical shots
✔ Elevation changes (aka leg day π
)
✔ Plenty of trees ready to “catch” your disc
And yes…
π We may or may not have tested every tree on the course.

| Ahhh, our lucky number is indeed the number 4 |
π FOR THE NEWBIES (THIS IS YOUR SIGN TO TRY IT)
Never played before?
Perfect.
Because here’s the truth…
π You don’t need to be good to have fun
π You don’t need fancy gear
π You just need a disc and a sense of humor
We’ve learned that half the game is just:
“Throw it and see what happens.”

π‘ OUR “EXPERT” TIPS (FROM THE FIELD π)
After spending the day out there, here are a few things we “learned”:
π Tip #1: Aim for the basket… but expect the trees
π Tip #2: Wear good shoes (those hills are no joke)
π Tip #3: Bring water—even when it’s chilly
π Tip #4: Laugh at bad throws… because there will be MANY
π Tip #5: Don’t rush—this is about the experience, not perfection
π£ MORE THAN JUST DISC GOLF
Fort Buenaventura Park isn’t just for throwing discs…
π£ It’s a great fishing spot
(Although let’s be honest… city boy Mark has zero interest in that π)
π§Ί Perfect for picnics
π Which we fully plan on doing THROUGH the course of the summer
(Yeah… we went there π)
π² And just walking the trails?
That alone makes it worth the trip.

π WHY WE LOVED IT
It’s simple.
This place gives you:
✔ A break from the campground
✔ A reset from the busy
✔ A chance to move, laugh, and explore
And sometimes… that’s exactly what you need.
π FROM OUR RV LIFE TO YOURS
If you’re staying near Willard Peak Campground or passing through Ogden…
π Add this to your list
π Grab a disc
π Take a day off
And go enjoy it.

π₯ FINAL THOUGHT
Disc golf isn’t about being perfect.
It’s about:
✨ Getting outside
✨ Trying something new
✨ Laughing at yourself
✨ And enjoying the moment

| It's ok to run-away so you can BREATH |
✨ We’ll see you on the course… probably in the trees. ππ²
